Jamsetji Tata is the founder of the Tata Group of Companies, India's largest conglomerate. Born to a poor family in Amreli, Gujarat, he started his career as a clerk with the Indian Imperial Bank of Commerce. His personal motto was "Wealth does not come from money, but money goes to wealth". He died in 1904.
